Did you know that Desmos is NOT just for online math classes? If you’ve heard how awesome Desmos is, but wondered how you could ever learn to use such a robust and customizable tool in your ELL classes, this is the session for you. We’ll share a few pre-made templates in Desmos’s Activity Builder that follow common Learning Task Formats and show you how to edit them to make custom lessons for your class.

Kris Klas

Kris Klas (they/them) has an MEd in Adult Education from the University of Minnesota. They have enjoyed teaching every level from Pre-beginning ELL to GED. They accept apologies for misgendering them in the form of mushroom-related books, stickers, and accessories.

Elizabeth Bennett

Elizabeth Bennett (she/her) teaches ELL classes at the ISD 191 Burnsville School for Adults. She is also the Statewide Distance Learning Coordinator at Literacy Minnesota.
