“We the people”: Learner and teacher responses to a free curriculum integrating civics, U.S. history, English and digital skills for adults

Learn about CILIA-T (Content-Integrated Language Instruction for Adults with Technology Support), a 16-module free curriculum with detailed lesson plans for high intermediate/advanced ELLs, developed for online or in-person classes. Learners build civics/U.S. history knowledge, English proficiency, and digital skills to participate more fully in their communities. CILIA-T activates existing knowledge, and focuses on academic vocabulary, critical thinking and application. In this interactive session, we’ll share curriculum materials, and teacher/learner feedback from our spring 2024 pilot.
